October Events: Smart Buildings Show | PlugFest
Contemporary Controls is looking forward to the upcoming Smart Buildings Show (SBS) from October 18-19 at Excel London in Newham, East London. On Wednesday, October 18 from 1:45 - 2:30, Christian Heim from Contemporary Controls EMEA will be presenting in the Controls & Networks Theatre. His presentation, BACnet-compliant Open and License-free Controllers with Sedona Programming and Robust Ethernet Infrastructure for Building Control Applications, will highlight the capabilities of Contemporary Controls' BASautomation line of open controllers when used in conjunction with our BAScontrol Toolset. The Toolset is a free set of software tools to configure, test, emulate, and archive controller operation on a Windows PC that allows users to develop and test automation applications without the actual controller, letting them "try before they buy."

Contemporary Controls will be participating in BACnet PlugFest from October 3-5 at the University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH. Sponsored by BACnet International, PlugFest is a BACnet Interoperability Workshop that allows manufacturers to test their BACnet products with devices from other manufacturers and to improve their BACnet implementation and testing methods.
"This type of interoperability testing is a great way to lower the cost of BTL testing and certification by finding and fixing errors earlier in the product development cycle," said Bennet Levine, director of R&D at Contemporary Controls. "As an industry veteran, we are pleased to help newer attendees understand BACnet, as we are all aligned with the intention of getting our products to work together."
Levine and Contemporary Controls' software engineers will be on hand to test our newest BACnet products, including the BACnet/SC router and the BAScontrolE36 Edge Controller.
