Contemporary Controls to Test New Products at PlugFest

Contemporary Controls will be participating in the upcoming BACnet PlugFest Interoperability Workshop October 14-16 at the University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH.

Sponsored by BACnet International's BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL), PlugFest brings manufacturers together to test their BACnet products with devices from other manufacturers. PlugFest is an excellent opportunity for manufacturers to improve BACnet testing methods and find implementation errors before a product is released into the field.

BTL was developed and is operated by BACnet International to support compliance testing and interoperability testing activities. The BTL oversees operation of the global certification program for BACnet.

"PlugFest offers additional application testing before a product goes to market, helping us identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle," said Bennet Levine, director of R&D at Contemporary Controls. "As an industry veteran, I'm excited to introduce our new engineers to this event and give them a chance to deepen their understanding of BACnet and see how their work at Contemporary Controls aligns with applications in the field."

Levine and Contemporary Controls' software engineers will be on hand to test our latest BACnet products, including BACnet routers, gateways, and controllers. The team will also be testing advanced features, such as HTTP over SSL, cloud connectivity, virtual routing, and BACnet/SC integration.
