BASautomation® Building Automation Products Displayed at Niagara Summit
May 2014 - Contemporary Controls BASautomation building automation products were highlighted at the recent Niagara Summit in Las Vegas. The BASautomation product line simplifies the integration to BACnet/IP and consists of routers that provide stand-alone routing between BACnet networks, Modbus to BACnet gateways, and Powered by Sedona™ BACnet/IP controllers. Over 1300 people were in attendance that included a mix of system integrators, end users and developers within the Niagara community. Approximately 50 exhibiting companies presented their products.
"We had a great deal of traffic at our booth. We want to thank everyone who stopped by who already use our BASautomation and Ethernet solutions and shared their success stories with us and those who are unfamiliar with our products and wanted to learn more," says Joe Stasiek, Sales Manager.
A few products presented include:
- BASrouters - offer stand-alone routing between BACnet networks such as BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, and BACnet MS/TP - allowing the system integrator to mix BACnet network technologies within a single BACnet internetwork.
- BASgatewayLX - when using external Modbus RTU with the Modbus to BACnet Gateway discovery of Modbus registers is just as quick as configuring BACnet points - greatly reducing the time to discover Modbus devices in the field.
- BAScontrol20 and BASremote Sedona controllers - when used with the Niagara Workbench™ tool can greatly simplify commissioning/programming - making the Niagara Workbench™ a one-tool solution.
Contemporary Controls Ethernet connectivity solution, CTRLink® was also presented. Once on Ethernet, the CTRLink family, with its collection of IP infrastructure products, completes the connectivity process. CTRLink industrial-grade products include PnP unmanaged switches, media converters, fully managed switches, wired and wireless IP routers and products that support PoE.
