Contemporary Controls has achieved the Illinois Manufacturers' Association Healthy Manufacturer Certification for 2020. This certification was earned through participation with OSHA authorized instructors from the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) to ensure that Contemporary Controls has a Healthy Workplace Plan that incorporates guidelines from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA), and World Health Organization (WHO).
The Certification is part of Contemporary Controls' on-going efforts to maintain as safe an environment as possible for our employees.
Due to concerns about COVID-19, Contemporary Controls has reinforced prevention measures. Contemporary Controls is open and accepting/shipping orders, but we've suspended in-person visits with customers and vendors and rescheduled training sessions. To reduce the number of people at our facilities, those employees who can work from home are doing so.
Contemporary Controls has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 mitigation guidelines issued by governing healthcare authorities. We're adjusting our safety protocols on a regional basis depending on local guidelines.
At our headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, our pandemic response plan has led us to revise workspaces, implement a cleaning/sanitizing protocol for shared areas, and provide ongoing reminders and training to all employees. The IMEC Technical Specialist who reviewed our plan said, "You have a simple, comprehensive, easy to understand plan. I will recommend that IMA (Illinois Manufacturers' Association) provide you a Healthy Workplace Certificate."
IMEC is a team of improvement specialists and technicians dedicated to providing organizations with the tools and techniques to create sustainable competitive futures.
