2023 National HVACR Education Conference – Training for the Future

HVAC Excellence 2023Learn about Contemporary Controls' latest product innovations at the 2023 National HVACR Education Conference on March 20-22 in Las Vegas.

Sponsored by HVAC Excellence, the 2023 Conference brings together HVACR educators, manufacturers, and associations to share resources, training tools, and applications of emerging technologies in the HVACR industry. Like last year, the 2023 conference will be a hybrid event to provide custom professional development both in-person and on-line.

Visit us at booth 4010 to learn how our BAScontrol22 and BASpi open controllers and BAScontrol Toolset facilitate hands-on training. The BAScontrol Toolset is a free set of software tools for commissioning a BAScontroller. It includes the Sedona Application Editor (SAE), BASbackup, and BASemulator.

To keep up with demands of emerging technologies, we have expanded our BAScontrol series of unitary controllers to include the BASControl22S, a 22-point controller which supports BACnet client/server operation over BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP. These units also provide more application memory space, more sophisticated components, and more pre-built Sedona applications. Available for free download, these applications come complete with a pre-assigned BACnet points list, sequence of operation, system schematic, and suggested device list.

"We've worked with several affiliated colleges and technical schools to create practical classroom/lab experiences that merge traditional HVACR knowledge with the computer and IT skills needed in today's building automation industry," said Joe Stasiek, sales manager at Contemporary Controls. "The controllers' open architecture allows students to create real-world scenarios in the classroom."

If you are attending the Conference in-person, check out the breakout session "Building Automation Controls – Demystified" presented by Jon Vietti, a leading DDC Controls specialist, on March 20 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. John will cover topics, such as controller types, BACnet/IP vs. MS/TP, remote access, and will demonstrate how students can setup and commission a controller with Sedona function block programming in the classroom by utilizing our BAScontrol 22-point controller.
