Contemporary Controls' BAScontrol Toolset is a set of free software tools used to emulate, program, and archive a controller. The Toolset features the BASemulator, the Sedona Application Editor (SAE), and BASbackup and is available as a free download on our website. The Toolset can be used with a standard web browser to develop and test automation applications without an actual controller, allowing you to "try before you buy."
A new video provides an overview of the BASbackup Project Utility. BASbackup makes it simple to save and restore a complete controller project in a convenient, single .zip folder.
BASbackup works in conjunction with the SAE and BASemulator. And, like all BAScontrol Toolset utilities, BASbackup can be used with any controller in our BASautomation line of BACnet open controllers.
This video demonstrates how you can use BASbackup to:
Contemporary Controls' series of BASautomation open controllers feature BACnet as a communications protocol and Sedona as a license-free function block programming language. Each product in the series is freely programmable using our BAScontrol Toolset.
As a Sedona developer, Contemporary Controls has developed several product lines based on Sedona, such as the BAScontrol Series and the Micro PC Edge Series of BACnet-compliant open controllers, and the BAScontrol Toolset for unrestricted use in program development and archiving. Pre-Built Applications for common HVAC applications are available to speed project development.
